Christmas has come early at Precious and our famous Winter Sale is starting today!!

Sale Starts Today!

Today is an important day here in London, and no we do not mean the World Cup, England Vs Slovenia. Today is the day the Precious Summer Sale starts! You will find some great bargains on brands including Sportmax, DVF and Velvet, with up to 50% off. So please come and join us for a refreshing drink, catch up and for a rifle through our lovely collections. We will be open until 8pm so we hope to see you soon.

There will also be a special guest appearance from Umar from 3pm onwards!

Precious’ Adventures in Fashion Wonderland

What a month, March is already passing in a whirl and where did February go? Precious has been flying round showrooms, fashion weeks and appointments viewing and selecting, editing and choosing the best picks of the season for the boutique for next winter…what’s on the agenda. A slick, sophisticated more tailored line, proper clothes ( of which much in the press) and splashes of autumnal colours, petrol blue (yes the turquoise of winter), burnt orange, khaki, burgundy and ruby red, as shown with this stunning Sportmax Coat.

Lots of black looking suprisingly new with sharp shoulders, tailored shapes and metal details. Silver, heather greys which look great combined with any of the above but particularly khaki. The other new winter colour combination we really love is navy – yes, dark, dark, very chic winter navy contrasted with black or nude.

So are we mad as March Hares? And did we fall down the rabbit hole into Wonderland? Alice the new collection from Alice Temperley, looked pretty tempting to us – the showroom was a riot of colour, zig zag contrast knits, maori inspired knits, sexy drapey jersey dresses, military details, tempting party pieces all with those signature Temperley details we all know and love.

Inspired by the Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland film, the label said “Buy Me” so we did! 

Oh and when we returned from our fashion adventures we still love those Alice dresses and can’t wait for the delivery to arrive in July.

On Big Hair and Sexy dresses

Having devoured the delcicious The Single Man at the weekend, Precious is obsessing about big hair! Although only appearing for a small section of the film, the divine Ms Moore stole the show in the style stakes with her delciously, backcombed and carefully distree up do, fabulous smokey eyes – note very helpful close up on eye make up tecqnique – and stunning tailored long dress for dinner a deux at home!

An epiphany – yes, that’s it big hair requires fitted, sleek, sexy dress to provide the contrast. The suggested control of a fitted, tailored dress with a slightly loose up do is a very sexy look and one that would be a hit for many a cocktail party or wedding in the coming season! Precious has been thinking that another session with our favourite make up guru, Rowena may be on the cards – and of course a quick trip to Hair & Jerome in Toynbee Street would sort out the hair in a trice!
